The loud sharp whistle blast echoed clearly through the massive training hall.
Sergeant Miller laughed arrogantly, raised his massive fists, and charged forward violently.
He wanted to end the fight immediately with a single dramatic blow to show off.
He threw a lightning-fast roundhouse kick aimed straight at Maya's exposed upper torso.
The force behind the kick was powerful enough to knock out an unsuspecting person.
Most young recruits would have panicked and tried to block the heavy leg directly.
Instead, Maya kept her cool and calculated the exact distance of the strike.
She ducked smoothly under the roaring kick as the heavy boot missed her head by inches.
Before Miller could recover his balance, Maya moved forward with incredible quickness.
She wrapped her arms securely around his striking leg and stepped deep inside his guard.
She pivoted her hips sharply and used Miller's own forward momentum against him entirely.
With a powerful martial arts burst, she lifted the huge sergeant off the floor.
Maya executed a flawless hip throw that sent Miller spinning through the air.
A loud heavy impact thud echoed off the marble walls as he slammed down.
Miller landed flat on his back directly in the middle of the mat.
The sound of the thud made several watching recruits flinch in shock.
The giant soldier lay completely still for a moment as the air rushed out.
He gasped desperately for oxygen in sheer shock and blinding physical pain.
His eyes were wide open as he stared helplessly up at the ceiling lights.
Maya stepped back into a neat guard stance, ready in case he stood up.
The entire crowd of watching soldiers froze in absolute stunned silence.
Nobody in the room spoke a word as the reality settled in.
The arrogant sergeant who boasted for years had been dropped in two seconds.
Officer Davis stared at the mat with his mouth hanging wide open in disbelief.
"Match over!" Davis finally yelled after regaining his composure.
He hurried over to check on the groaning soldier who was clutching his ribs.
Maya took a slow breath and lowered her hands to her side gracefully.
