Officer Miller cut the ropes freeing Sarah's hands from the wooden chair frame.
She rushed out the side door of the warehouse into the bright sunlight.
Leo saw his mother running toward the vehicle and burst out the door.
Leo: Mom! You are safe!
Sarah: Oh my sweet baby boy!
Sarah dropped to her knees on the gravel driveway and hugged Leo tight.
They held each other tightly while crying tears of immense relief and happiness.
Clara stepped out of the police cruiser and walked over to the emotional family.
Clara: Hello Sarah, my name is Clara Vance.
Clara: Well, no relation to you, but I am an attorney in Dallas.
Sarah: My brother Richard... he did this to us.
Sarah: He found our hidden cabin last night and sent those men.
Clara: He wanted to keep you hidden so you could never claim your inheritance.
Sarah: My father left the trust fund and estate to support Leo.
Sarah: Richard threatened to hurt my son if I ever revealed I survived the fire.
Officer Miller walked up holding a pair of heavy steel handcuffs in his hands.
Officer Miller: Mr. Vance has just been taken into custody at his office tower.
Officer Miller: He is facing charges of kidnapping, fraud, and illegal conspiracy.
Sarah took a deep breath as the terrible weight of fear lifted away.
Sarah: Thank you for saving us, attorney Clara.
Sarah: We had nowhere left to run or hide.
Clara: You do not need to hide ever again, Sarah.
Clara: We are going to court tomorrow to claim everything that belongs to you.
