Clara looked up from the floor with wide, desperate eyes.
Clara: Arthur, please listen to me for just one minute!
Arthur: I heard enough from my office in Houston today!
Arthur pulled a small silver recording device out of his pocket.
Elena realized Arthur had security cameras installed inside the house earlier.
Arthur had watched the whole argument on his cell phone screen.
Arthur: You never loved me or cared about my newborn son.
Clara: That is not true, Arthur, I love our family!
Arthur: You only wanted control over my money and real estate.
Clara stood up slowly, her green dress wrinkled and messy now.
Her face turned cold and dropped all fake sweet smiles completely.
Clara: You care more about a servant than your own wife!
Arthur: Elena protected my son while you plotted against him.
Arthur motioned to his two large security guards standing nearby.
Arthur: Escort her to the front gate right now without delay.
Clara: You cannot throw me out without giving me a settlement!
Arthur: My divorce lawyer is already filing the paperwork today.
The security guards grabbed Clara's arms firmly and turned her.
Clara screamed angrily as she was dragged toward the front doors.
The heavy wooden doors slammed shut behind her with a thud.
Silence fell over the massive white marble foyer once again.
Arthur walked slowly over to Elena and looked at the box.
Arthur: Is baby Leo safe inside his crib upstairs right now?
Elena: Yes, sir, he is sleeping peacefully in the nursery.
Arthur took a deep breath and wiped a tear from his eye.
Arthur: Thank you for saving my son's future today, Elena.
Elena: I will always protect this family with my life, sir.
Arthur looked at the legal trust papers inside the opened package.
He realized how close he came to losing everything he loved.
