By afternoon, heavy rain clouds rolled across the North Texas sky.
Clara walked through the hallway wearing an expensive green dress.
She carried a heavy metal locked box from Arthur's private desk.
Elena saw Clara from the top of the grand spiral staircase.
Elena: Mrs. Sterling, is everything okay with the baby's documents?
Clara: Mind your own business and get back to your cleaning!
Elena noticed that Clara was holding the baby's birth certificate packet.
Those papers proved Arthur's son was the legal owner of the estate.
Clara looked nervously toward the grand front entrance of the mansion.
Clara: This child is taking what belongs to me and my future!
Elena: That boy is Mr. Sterling's son and rightful heir!
Clara laughed coldly and stepped close to the marble railing.
She held the swaddled bundle containing the trust box high above.
Clara: Take this child!
Clara let go of the thick swaddled package over the balcony.
Elena gasped in horror and sprinted down the smooth marble stairs.
She slid onto her knees on the cold white floor below.
Elena caught the swaddled package safely in her open arms.
Tears filled Elena's eyes as she held the package very tight.
Elena: Are you completely insane?!
Clara glared down from the balcony with a cruel, angry smile.
Elena: You could have murdered him!
Elena thought the baby was inside until she checked the swaddling.
It was the metal legal box wrapped in baby Leo's blanket.
Clara was trying to destroy the true inheritance papers forever today.
Suddenly, the heavy front wooden doors burst open with a crash.
Arthur Sterling walked inside wearing a dark velvet suit jacket.
Two security guards stood right behind Arthur near the doorway.
Arthur looked around the marble foyer with confusion and deep shock.
Arthur: What is happening here?!
Elena pointed upward toward the balcony while holding the swaddled box.
Elena: Sir, she deliberately tried to throw your baby's trust papers onto the hard marble floor!
Arthur looked up at Clara with total disbelief and rising anger.
Clara rushed down the stairs trying to explain herself quickly now.
Clara: Arthur, she is lying to you about what happened here!
Arthur: Stop!
Arthur grabbed Clara's arm firmly before she could move closer.
Clara lost her balance and fell onto the cold marble floor.
Arthur: Get out of my house immediately! You are finished!
