Victoria's hands shook as she pressed her back against the cool hallway wall.
"She was going to change the family trust!" Victoria blurted out in desperation.
"I had to keep her locked away until the lawyer finished the paperwork!"
Daniel stared at her in disbelief as the entire truth finally came out.
Victoria had been plotting to steal his family estate and inheritance for months.
She had trapped his elderly mother inside the room to control the estate assets.
"You locked my mother away for money?" Daniel asked, his voice shaking with anger.
"I did it for our future, Daniel!" Victoria argued, taking a cautious step forward.
"Your mother was going to give half the property to a charity foundation!"
Margaret held onto Daniel's arm, her voice still raspy from lack of water.
"She forged my signature on the legal documents, Daniel," Margaret revealed slowly.
"When I threatened to call the police, she pushed me into the vault."
Daniel felt a wave of disgust rush through his entire body as he listened.
The woman he had married was nothing more than a heartless fraudster.
She had mistreated his small son and locked his mother in a room.
"Get out of my house," Daniel said, his voice dropping to a icy whisper.
"You cannot throw me out! We are legally married!" Victoria shouted arrogantly.
"I have rights to this property and every account attached to it!"
Daniel pulled out his phone from his pocket and dialed a direct number.
He placed the call on speaker so Victoria could hear every single word.
"Harrison, get the security footage from the hallway vault camera," Daniel ordered.
"And call the district attorney immediately. We have a felony kidnapping here."
Victoria's face turned completely white as she realized the true severity now.
