Attorney Robert Miller walked into the bright ballroom with a briefcase.
He greeted David with a respectful nod before looking at the envelope.
David pulled the paper out and handed it to the lawyer.
Mr. Miller placed his glasses on his nose to read the document.
He carefully checked the signature against his own official records brought along.
"This is indeed the original missing trust update," Mr. Miller confirmed.
He looked toward Victoria, who had returned to the room's edge.
"This document changes the ownership of the main estate entirely," he added.
Victoria crossed her arms tightly across her long red dress gown.
"My lawyers will fight this in court for years!" Victoria snapped angrily.
"The court will enforce the true owner's wishes, Mrs. Sterling," Mr. Miller replied.
He explained that hiding official estate papers carried very serious consequences.
David listened quietly while holding Lily safely in his strong arms.
He had spent years believing his stepmother had left him nothing.
Victoria had used her position to control all the family assets.

Mr. Miller took out a official folder to start filing notes.
"We will secure the property records immediately today," the attorney stated.
Victoria turned around fast and walked toward her private upstairs rooms.
She knew that her control over the family fortune was over.
David thanked Meredith for her quick actions during the morning incident.
"You helped bring the truth out today, Meredith," David said kindly.
"I just wanted to make sure Lily was safe," Meredith answered softly.
Lily smiled slightly from her father's arms at the kind woman.
The sun shone brightly through the large windows of the home.

David walked out to the grand patio to give his daughter air.
