Victoria backed up toward the edge of the blue pool water.
"You cannot throw me out of my childhood home!" she screamed.
"You gave up this home when you hurt my child," Julianne replied.
The security guards walked across the damp tile floor firmly.
They took Victoria gently by her gold dress arms to hold her.
"Get your hands off me right now!" Victoria thrased around wildly.
Mark carried little Leo toward the warm dry main house parlor.
"Come on buddy, let's get you some hot warm chocolate," Mark whispered.
Leo looked back over his shoulder at the big glass room.
"Is aunt Victoria going to jail now?" the small boy asked.
"The police are on their way to investigate," Mark explained kindly.
Back in the greenhouse, Arthur shut his dark silver laptop computer.
"The bank foreclosure can be stopped with these funds," Arthur noted.
Julianne signed her full name on the legal trustee paper line.
She felt a heavy weight lift off her wet, tired shoulders.
For years she thought her father had abandoned her simple life.
Now she knew he was trying to protect her from Victoria.
Victoria had hidden all his letters and personal phone calls for years.
She wanted Julianne to stay far away from the city forever.
"He left a personal letter for you in the safe," Arthur added.
Julianne took the yellow paper envelope from Arthur's dry hand.
She opened the top flap with shaking white fingers carefully.
Her father's neat handwriting filled the soft blue paper page inside.
"My dear Julianne, if you are reading this, I am gone."
"I know Victoria took control of the main estate money."
"I left everything to little Leo so she could never steal it."
"Forgive me for not seeing her dark greed much sooner."
Julianne wiped a small tear from her wet cheek quickly.
She looked down at the red clay broken on the marble.
The old butler brought out a clean towel for her hair.
"Thank you, Thomas," Julianne said softly to the old man.
"Your father would be very proud of you today," Thomas replied.
Sirens sounded in the distance down the long front driveway.
