Mark did not hesitate for a single second as he charged across the yard.
A white hard-shell infant stroller was parked right beside the tall wooden gate.
The sun shade canopy was pulled down completely over the front seat opening.
Mark reached out his arm and grabbed the foam handle of the stroller tightly.
Mark: Megan, step away from my son right now before I call the police!
Nanny Megan: Do not touch that carriage if you care about your family!
Megan grabbed the side frame of the stroller and pulled back with all her strength.
The wheels skidded across the smooth patio stones with a harsh scraping noise.
Mark: What is wrong with you, woman?
Nanny Megan: Your father promised me my share of the estate three years ago!
Mark: My father did not even know who you were when he passed!
Nanny Megan: That is where you are wrong, you foolish rich little boy!
Sarah scrambled up off the wet grass and sprinted over to Mark's side.
Her body was shaking violently as she stared at the covered infant carriage.
Sarah: Mark, just pull the canopy back and get him out of there!
Mark reached down and yanked the fabric canopy top backward in one fast motion.
Sarah let out a horrified gasp that choked in the back of her throat.
The white stroller seat was completely empty except for a heavy weighted blanket.
Sarah: Where is my baby, Megan?
Sarah: WHERE IS HE?
Nanny Megan: He is already somewhere safe where you will never find him!
Megan let out a sharp, cold laugh that echoed off the white concrete walls.
She pulled a small black remote control out of her deep apron pocket.
With a quick click of her thumb, the high electric security gate unlocked.
Nanny Megan: If you want your child back, you sign over the house today!
Mark: You are insane if you think you will get away with this!
Mark lunged forward to grab Megan's arm before she could escape the gate.
Megan slammed the heavy wooden gate shut right in Mark's face with force.
The automatic lock clicked into place, locking them inside their own yard.
Mark hit the wooden gate with his bare fists in absolute rage and terror.
Mark: Sarah, call the police right now on your mobile phone!
Sarah reached into her robe pocket, but her phone was completely missing.
Sarah: My phone is gone, Mark, she stole my phone from the counter!
