Daniel threw the front door wide open into the daylight.
He tossed Rachel's heavy suitcase onto the stone porch.
Daniel: Leave right now and never come back near my child!
Rachel grabbed his blue shirt sleeve in a total frenzy.
Rachel: I will take half your house in a divorce court!
Daniel: Don't touch me again or try to threaten me!
Suddenly, bright red and blue lights flashed across the driveway.
Two police cruisers pulled up quickly onto the gravel path.
Daniel had called the emergency line right before coming inside.
He knew something was wrong when Lily did not answer calls.
Two uniform officers stepped out of their cars right away.
Officer: Is there a problem here, sir? Stay right there!
Rachel turned around in total panic when she saw police.
She tried to run down the porch toward her small car.
Rachel: Daniel, tell them to leave me alone right now!
The senior officer moved fast and blocked her path completely.
Officer: Ma'am, stop right where you are immediately!
Rachel tried to push past the officer in extreme panic.
The second officer helped restrain her on the paved ground.
Rachel: Daniel, don't let them arrest me like this!
Rachel: I did not do anything wrong to that little girl!
Daniel: She tried to remove my child without my permission.
Daniel: She locked my daughter away and mistreated her today.
The officer placed metal handcuffs firmly on Rachel's wrists.
They led her away toward the back of the police car.
