Elena checked into a small motel down the highway, using the last of her cash.
She sat on the edge of the bed and pulled out her smartphone with shaking fingers.
She remembered that her husband had hired a home security contractor just three weeks ago.
The technician had installed hidden nanny cameras inside every room to monitor the new staff.
Mark had forgotten about those extra hidden cameras because he rarely managed the security system.
Elena quickly opened the private security application on her phone using her master login password.
Her hands shook wildly as she scrolled back to the exact timestamp of the incident.
She selected the hidden camera hidden inside the frame of the parlor wall clock.
The high-definition video feed loaded clearly, showing the entire foyer from a clean side angle.
Elena pressed the play button, holding her breath as the recorded footage began to play.
The video clearly showed Sarah lifting the heavy glass vase from the table deliberately.
The maid intentionally threw the vase onto the floor to create a sudden, loud disturbance.
Then, the camera captured Sarah sneaking up the stairs behind Elena while holding a metal rod.
Sarah had poked the back of Elena's shoe, causing her to lose her footing completely.
The maid had planned the entire terrifying fall to make Elena look like an unfit mother.
Elena: I knew it! She planned the whole terrible thing from the very beginning!
Elena saved the video file directly to her phone's cloud storage drive for safety.
She then noticed another video clip recorded just twenty minutes after she was forced out.
She tapped on the live camera stream showing the home's main study desk area upstairs.
Sarah was standing right in front of Mark's open private wall safe behind his desk.
The maid was filling a large black canvas bag with stacks of cash and gold coins.
She was also sliding important legal papers regarding the family estate into her bag.
Sarah was planning to rob the family blind and flee the country before nightfall.
Elena knew she had to act fast before the malicious woman escaped with everything.
She dialed the local police department and requested an immediate emergency response team.
Elena: I need officers sent to the Westridge Estate right now to stop a theft!
