The Truth Hidden In Light

A Dallas CEO Pushed Her Child Until Cameras Showed Truth

Sarah pulled a soft napkin from her purse and pressed it gently against the cut on Lily's forehead, trying to stop the bright red blood. Lily buried her face in Sarah's neck, sobbing quietly while shaking from head to toe. Richard stood tall over them, adjusting his gold cufflinks with a proud smirk on his face, enjoying the humiliation he was causing.

Richard: This is what happens when lower-class people try to crash high society events. You belong in jail, both of you.

Sarah: You set this up, didn't you? You framed my daughter because I refused to sell you our family land!

Richard: That is a ridiculous claim. Why would a billionaire care about a worthless piece of dirt in Fort Worth?

Sarah: Because that land is worth millions now that the city approved the new highway project! You tried to steal our inheritance!

Richard: Keep talking, Sarah. The police will be here in five minutes to take your daughter to juvenile detention and you to jail for theft complicity.

Sarah looked around the grand room. She saw hotel guards marching over, guests whispering accusations, and Richard looking down at her like she was nothing. But then Sarah's eyes drifted upward toward the high ceiling, right above the giant American flag display. She noticed something Richard had completely overlooked in his arrogant rush to ruin her.

Four high-definition security camera domes were mounted directly above the main wall, pointing straight down at the exact spot where Lily was attacked. One of those cameras was a new thirty-six-degree wide lens model that Sarah's brother, an audio-visual engineer, had installed for the hotel just last month.

Sarah: You think you are so smart, Richard. You think money makes you invincible.

Richard: I know I am invincible here. Nobody in Dallas takes the word of a poor widow over mine.

Sarah: You forgot one very important detail when you staged this little show under the flag display.

Richard: What nonsense are you talking about now?

Sarah: Look up at those dark glass domes on the ceiling, Richard. YOU MADE A MISTAKE! EVERYTHING WAS RECORDED!

Richard's eyes instantly darted up toward the ceiling lights. His arrogant smirk vanished in a single fraction of a second, replaced by a sudden look of pure terror as he realized the camera was pointing directly at his hands.
