Arthur stepped out holding his dark leather briefcase and important legal papers.
He had finished his court hearing earlier than expected that sunny afternoon.
He walked up the front steps while smiling about seeing his daughter.
He unlocked the heavy double oak doors with his shiny brass key.
The heavy doors swung wide open into the sunlit grand entrance foyer.
Arthur stopped dead in his tracks as his leather bag dropped down.
He saw his young daughter Emily kneeling on the cold marble floor.
His wife Victoria stood right over her with a cold smirk.
Arthur: Emily! What on earth is happening on this floor?!
Emily: Dad... I cannot... catch my breath right now...
Arthur rushed across the large room with fast and furious strides.
He dropped to his knees beside his trembling and pale young child.

Victoria: I do not know what you are talking about, Arthur!
Arthur spotted the corner of the blue dispenser inside Victoria's open purse.
His eyes widened in shock as he realized what had happened.
Arthur: You took her critical prescription medicine away from her?!
Victoria: She was being disobedient and lazy with her morning chores!
Arthur stood up tall with deep anger rushing through his veins.
He grabbed the blue inhaler directly out of Victoria's clutch bag.
Victoria tried to step back away from his intense protective glare.
Arthur: How dare you endanger my innocent child in my house!
Victoria: Arthur, you are overreacting to a simple household discipline matter!
Arthur uncapped the medicine unit with quick and precise hand movements.
He knelt back down beside Emily on the white marble floor.
He held the soft blue mask gently against her trembling lips.
Arthur: Take a deep breath now, baby girl, Daddy is here.
Emily inhaled the soothing mist deeply into her tight lungs.
