Two days later, Evelyn arrived at her corporate bank branch to make her usual withdrawal.
When she handed her card to the teller, the transaction was immediately declined on screen.
The bank manager came out of his private office to explain the sudden credit status change.
Bank Manager: Mrs. Evelyn, all primary trust accounts have been frozen by the primary owner.
Evelyn: That is impossible, my son David would never cut off my personal fund access!
Bank Manager: Here is the court order signed by the corporate judge late yesterday afternoon.
Evelyn's face turned pale as she read the legal document resting on the wooden counter.
She whipped out her phone and called her brother Richard in a state of sheer panic.
Evelyn: Richard, David has locked us out of the company accounts and frozen the trust!
Uncle Richard: He sent me a formal termination letter from the board ten minutes ago!
Evelyn: We need to go see him at his office and demand our monthly checks!
An hour later, Evelyn and Richard stormed into the bright glass lobby of David's company.
Two security guards stepped into the center of the lobby, blocking the elevator doors directly.
Security Guard: Mrs. Evelyn, you are not permitted above the ground floor today ma'am.
Evelyn: Out of my way, I am the mother of the Chief Executive Officer here!
David walked out of the ground floor boardroom, flanked by his legal representative team.
He looked at his mother with a calm and distant expression that she had never seen.
David: You have no power here anymore Evelyn, and no access to my company funds.
Uncle Richard: You cannot abandon your own mother after everything she built for you!
David: She built nothing here, and she mistreated my wife and hurt my innocent child.
Evelyn: David, please, we can talk about this like reasonable adults in private!
David: You showed no reason or mercy when my five-year-old daughter was crying in pain.
David handed a thick white envelope to his mother's shaking hand in front of security.
David: That is a formal legal notice of full severance and a permanent restraining order.
