Confronting The Bitter Truth

A CEO Comes Home Early and Finds His Hidden Secret

Jessica ran up the stairs with stomping feet, slamming her bedroom door shut.

David walked back to the living room to stay near his mother.

He dialed his family lawyer on his smartphone with swift, sharp movements.

"Mark, I need you to draft emergency divorce papers immediately," David said.

The lawyer listened carefully as David described the horrible events of today.

"I want her removed from my estate and trust fund entirely," David added.

"I will have the initial legal documents ready within two hours," Mark replied.

David ended the call and looked at his mother sitting on sofa.

"You are safe now, Mom," David assured her with a gentle smile.

"No one will ever hurt or disrespect you in this house again."

Evelyn reached out and squeezed her son's strong hand with all power.

"I was so afraid you wouldn't believe me," she whispered softly.

"I will always believe you over anyone else," David replied firmly.

Thirty minutes later, heavy footsteps echoed down the high wooden staircase.

Jessica appeared at the bottom of the stairs carrying two large suitcases.

She had changed into a dark coat and carried her expensive designer handbag.

Her face was pale, but her eyes held a bitter and ugly look.

"You are throwing away our marriage for her!" Jessica shouted angrily.

"You threw away our marriage when you abused my mother!" David countered.

Jessica walked toward the front entrance doors with a stiff, proud posture.

"I helped build your image as a successful family man!" she sneered.

"Your image is nothing without my presence by your side at galas!"

David laughed coldly as he opened the heavy front doors wide open.

"My family business does not need a cruel liar like you," he said.

"My lawyer will serve you with divorce papers by tomorrow morning."

Jessica stepped out onto the wide stone porch under the afternoon sky.

"You will regret this, David!" she yelled back over her shoulder.

"I will take half of your fortune and your mansion!"

David looked at her with total calm and unwavering strength in eyes.

"Our prenuptial agreement covers cases of domestic mistreatment completely," David stated.

"You will get nothing from my family estate or my inheritance, Jessica."

Jessica gasped sharply as the reality of his words hit her mind.

She realized she had lost everything because of her own wicked actions.

David closed the thick wooden doors firmly, locking her out forever.

He turned back toward the warm house, breathing a deep sigh of relief.

The house felt quieter and lighter now that the toxic presence was gone.
