The Confrontation At The Estate

A Bride Humiliated Her Sister Before Calling For Help

The sharp sound of Arthur's hand hitting the desk echoed off the marble walls like thunder.

Sarah pulled her hand back quickly while her white lace veil shook around her shoulders.

Sarah: You are lying to me just to protect her and her stupid baby!

Arthur: I have never lied to you, Sarah, but you have lied to everyone in this room.

Arthur pulled a second thick white envelope out from the side pocket of his leather briefcase.

Arthur: Do you want me to read what your lawyer sent to the bank last Tuesday morning?

Sarah turned deathly pale as she took two small steps backward toward the open French doors.

Ethan: What did she send to the bank, Arthur, tell us right now!

Arthur: She tried to forge my signature on a mortgage application for twenty million dollars!

Clara covered her mouth with her trembling hand as Aunt Eleanor gasped out loud in shock.

Clara: Sarah, how could you try to put a massive mortgage on our family home?

Sarah: I needed the capital investment for my private fashion line in New York City!

Ethan: You were going to risk your family's home just for your own selfish ego?

Sarah: It was going to be my money eventually anyway once Dad signed the final trust documents!

Arthur shook his head slowly with deep sadness and disappointment written all over his face.

Arthur: You were never getting the trust fund, Sarah, because you proved you cannot be trusted.

Sarah: You cannot do this to me on my wedding day in front of all these guests!

Arthur: There is not going to be a wedding today, Sarah, not in this house or anywhere else.

Ethan pulled off his black bowtie with a swift yank and tossed it onto the sofa floor.

Ethan: He is right, Sarah, because I am calling off this wedding effective immediately right now.

Sarah: Ethan, please, you cannot leave me standing at the altar like this in front of everyone!

Ethan: You proved today who you really are, and I am standing by Clara and our baby.

Sarah let out a loud hysterical scream as she threw a crystal vase against the stone floor.

The heavy glass shattered into a hundred small shining pieces across the dark wooden floorboards.
