Suddenly the heavy front doors slammed open with a loud bang.
Julian stood in the doorway holding his leather briefcase.
He had forgotten his iPad and returned home early.
He saw his young wife lying on the cold marble floor.
He saw his mother standing over her with an angry face.
Julian: Mother!
Julian dropped his briefcase onto the floor instantly.
He rushed across the room like a fast wind.
He pushed past Victoria to reach his crying wife.
Victoria stumbled backward and hit the wooden table hard.
She fell down to the ground in total shock.
A small red scratch appeared on her cheek from the fall.
Julian knelt beside Elena and pulled her into his arms.
Julian: Baby, are you okay? What happened here?
Elena: She tried to make me sign divorce papers, Julian.
Julian looked at the scattered documents on the floor.
He read the title of the paper near his knee.
It was a legal contract to end their marriage completely.
Julian felt a surge of deep rage inside his chest.
He turned his head to face his mother on the floor.
Julian: Touch my wife again and you'll spend your life in prison!
Victoria looked up with teary eyes and held her scratched cheek.
Victoria: She is a nobody, Julian! I did this for you!
Julian: She is my wife, and I love her more than life!
Maria stepped forward to tell Julian the truth.
Maria: Sir, your mother tried to force her to drink that juice.
Maria: Mrs. Elena did not do anything wrong at all.
Julian looked at his mother with utter disappointment.
Julian: You have crossed the line for the last time.
He helped Elena stand up from the marble floor carefully.
Elena leaned against his strong shoulder for support.
Julian: We are leaving this house tonight.
Victoria: You cannot leave your family business and mansion!
Julian: Watch me leave it all behind for her.
