David picked up his daughter, holding her close to his chest while glaring sternly at Elena.
David: Elena, I hired you to keep this home safe and orderly.
Elena: I have always done that, Mr. Vance. Always.
David: Brenda claims you grabbed Lily aggressively near the balcony edge.
Brenda: She did, David! Look at how terrified Lily looks right now!
Lily: No, Daddy! Elena saved me from falling down!
David paused, looking down at his small daughter with a deep crease across his forehead.
Brenda’s face turned pale for a second before she quickly tried to cover up the girl's words.
Brenda: She is confused, David! Elena has been manipulating her mind all day!
Elena: I have proof of what really happened, Mr. Vance.
Elena pulled the small USB flash drive out from her apron pocket and held it out firmly.
Brenda’s eyes went wide with sudden fear as she recognized what the device contained.
She lunged forward, trying to grab the flash drive directly out of Elena's fingers.
Brenda: Give me that! You have no right to film inside this house!
David stepped firmly between them, catching Brenda’s wrist gently but with strong authority.
He took the USB drive from Elena's hand, his eyes burning with intense curiosity and suspicion.
David: If you have done nothing wrong, Brenda, why are you so panicked?
Brenda: I just don't want this disrespectful woman invading our privacy!
David: We are going to watch this video together right now in my office.
David walked toward his private study room, carrying Lily while holding the memory drive tightly.
Brenda followed behind him, her confidence visibly crumbling with every step she took on the rug.
Elena walked alongside them, feeling a calm strength wash over her entire soul.
She knew that truth was the ultimate weapon against lies and cruel deceit.
They entered the dimly lit study, where a large computer monitor sat on the oak desk.
David plugged the drive into his computer terminal and loaded the main video file from the foyer.
The room fell into complete silence as the clear video footage began playing on the big screen.
The dramatic turn of events was now written on the screen for everyone to witness clearly.
