The paramedic gently placed a blood pressure cuff around Clara’s arm.
Julian held Clara’s hand tightly, never letting go for a single second.
Paramedic: Her heart rate is very high, but the baby’s heartbeat sounds strong.
Clara: Oh, thank thank goodness, thank you so much!
Julian: Hear that, honey? Our little boy is doing just fine.
Officer Davis stepped toward Eleanor with a severe look on his face.
Officer Davis: Ma'am, I need you to explain what happened on that landing.
Eleanor: I was having a private conversation with my daughter-in-law.
Julian: She screamed at her to leave and pushed forward aggressively!
Eleanor: I was trying to prevent her from stealing my company documents!
Julian: What documents are you talking about now, Mother?
Julian pointed at the papers scattered across the foyer floor.
Julian: Those are the medical records for our baby’s upcoming birth!
Officer Davis looked down at the papers spread across the dark wood floor.
He walked over and picked up a folder stamped with a red seal.
Officer Davis: This document looks like a property deed, not a medical record.
Julian stared in confusion at the file in the officer's hand.
Julian: Where did that file come from?
Clara: Your mother put that in my handbag before you came out, Julian.
Julian: What are you saying, Clara?
Clara: She wanted to frame me for taking corporate records from her desk.
Eleanor’s face went completely red with sudden embarrassment and anger.
Eleanor: That is an absolute lie from a gold-digger!
Officer Davis: Ma'am, calm down right now or I will detain you.
Julian: You planted evidence in my wife's bag to ruin her?
Eleanor: She was going to ruin us first, Julian, open your eyes!
Julian: You are the only person destroying this family, Mother.
The second officer stepped behind Eleanor and pulled out silver handcuffs.
Officer Davis: Eleanor Miller, you are under arrest for endangerment and harassment.
Eleanor: You cannot arrest me in my own mansion!
Officer Davis: Hands behind your back right now, ma'am.
