Marcus: WHAT IN GOD'S NAME IS HAPPENING IN HERE?!
The large double wooden doors burst open with explosive force, slamming violently against the interior walls.
Marcus: Clara! Leo! Where are you both?!
A muscular man in a sharp grey suit entered the foyer, his face twisted into an expression of absolute, unadulterated fury.
Clara: Marcus! Over here! Look what your mother just tried to do!
I screamed out from the marble floor, cradling the car seat tightly against my chest while pointing upward.
Clara: Look up! She dropped him! She tried to kill our newborn son!
Marcus stopped dead in his tracks, his eyes darting from my tear-streaked face up to the second-story balcony.
Marcus: MOTHER! EXPLAIN YOURSELF RIGHT NOW!
An angry roar ripped from his throat as he charged forward down the marble hallway with blistering speed.
Eleanor: Get her out of here! That servant woman is lying through her teeth!
Eleanor shouted down from the top of the stairs, pointing an accusing finger directly at me while trying to maintain her composure.
Eleanor: The incompetent maid dropped the carrier herself while cleaning! I tried to stop her!
Clara: You lying witch! You held him over the rail and let go on purpose[cite: 1]!
I hollered back, my voice cracking with righteous indignation as my tears continued to flow.
Clara: I caught him inches from the stone! Ask the security cameras! They recorded every single second of your attempted murder[cite: 1]!
Marcus: Shut your mouth, Mother! I saw the look on your face before I even cleared the front doors!
Marcus sprinted past the staircase, his rapid footstep SFX echoing like gunshots across the polished floor.
Marcus: You tried to murder my child! My flesh and blood[cite: 1]!
Eleanor: Don't you dare raise your voice at me, Marcus! That child threatens our family trust fund and inheritance!
Marcus: I don't give a damn about the trust fund or the estate! You targeted an innocent newborn baby[cite: 1]!
The air grew thick with lethal tension as Marcus reached the base of the stairs, ready to exact a husband and father's ultimate vengeance.
