Underneath the surface, Clara struggled against the heavy drag of her wet dress, panic filling her mind as she tried to protect her belly. The cold water was disorienting, but suddenly a strong, familiar set of arms wrapped securely around her waist. Mark kicked powerfully against the bottom of the pool, pulling Clara upward until they both broke through the surface, gasping frantically for air. The gathered crowd cheered in relief, but the atmosphere remained thick with intense dramatic tension. Mark quickly guided Clara toward the steps, gathering her slender, trembling body into his arms and lifting her entirely out of the deep pool.
Clara coughed hard, clinging tightly to Mark's wet suit coat as she gasped for breath. Mark placed her gently down onto a soft lounge chair, his hands shaking with an intense mix of terror and burning rage. Little Leo ran over immediately, burying his face into Clara's side while crying softly. Mark wrapped a thick beach towel around his wife's shoulders, hovering over her protectively to make sure she and their unborn baby were safe. Only after he saw that Clara was breathing steadily did Mark stand up to face the woman who had caused this absolute nightmare.
Mark: What did you just do to my wife?
Victoria: I told you, Mark, she lost her balance! She stepped back and slipped right over the edge!
Mark: Shut up! Don't you dare lie to me!
Victoria: How dare you raise your voice at me in front of all these guests!
Mark: I saw you, Victoria. I was looking right at you when you put your hands on her chest!
Victoria's pale face tightened, her fake innocent expression instantly vanishing into an angry glare. She adjusted the jacket of her white suit, trying desperately to maintain her composure in front of the dozens of high-society onlookers who were now whispering in shock. Several guests took out their phones, quietly recording the intense confrontation. Victoria realized her carefully crafted reputation was crumbling right in front of her eyes, but her pride refused to let her step back or apologize.
Victoria: Even if I did brush against her, it was purely by mistake. You have no right to accuse me of anything criminal.
Mark: You tried to hurt my wife and my unborn child because of your disgusting greed!
Victoria: This is my house, Mark! I own this estate, and I control the family business!
Mark: Not anymore you don't. You have pushed us for the last time.
Victoria: You are nothing without this family's money, Mark! You are just a middle-class lawyer who got lucky!
Mark took a heavy step toward Victoria, his wet shoes squeaking sharply against the tile. His dark eyes burned with an absolute, uncompromising fury that made Victoria instinctively take a half-step backward. The air was so thick with tension that not a single guest dared to make a sound. Mark looked directly into Victoria's eyes, his voice dropping into a low, terrifyingly calm tone that carried total authority across the silent yard.
Mark: Tomorrow morning, you will be out on the street with absolutely nothing.
Victoria: You are bluffing. My husband's will was airtight, and I am the primary beneficiary of his personal estate!
Before Victoria could finish her sentence, Mark closed the remaining distance between them and delivered a sharp, powerful slap directly across her face. The crack echoed loudly across the open poolside. Victoria let out a dramatic gasp, stumbling backward in absolute shock from the impact. Her foot caught the edge of a sunbed, sending her falling heavily onto a wicker lounge chair. She sat there in utter disbelief, clutching her reddened cheek as her neat blonde hair fell wildly out of its expensive style.
