Victoria was sitting in the formal dining room drinking expensive wine.
She looked relaxed and confident that her plan had worked out.
She believed Mark had accepted her clever story about the fall.
Mark walked into the room with a cold, firm look on his face.
He stood at the end of the long dark wood dining table.
"You thought you were very smart today, Victoria," Mark said softly.
Victoria took a slow sip of wine and put her glass down.
"Are we still talking about that little accident?" Victoria asked smoothly.
"It was not an accident at all," Mark replied with sharp anger.
He pulled the small flash drive from his dark blue pocket.
He tossed it onto the dark table in front of her glass.
"The clock in the hall has a tiny camera inside," Mark revealed.
Victoria's face turned completely white as all color drained away instantly.
Her hand began to shake as she looked at the drive.
"You recorded the hall?" Victoria asked in a broken whisper.
"I saw everything you did to my small daughter," Mark said.
"You pushed an innocent child down a steep flight of stairs," Mark added.
Victoria stood up quickly, knocking her wooden chair back hard.
"Mark, please listen to me!" Victoria pleaded in pure panic.
"I was stressed about our trust fund money!" Victoria cried out.
"I did not mean to hurt her that badly!" Victoria claimed.
"You sign away all rights to my estate right now," Mark demanded.
"Our prenup clearly states you get nothing after this act," Mark added.
Victoria realized her entire plan for wealth was totally ruined today.
She reached for Mark's hand to beg for another chance now.
Mark pulled his arm back and pointed toward the front door.
"Do not touch me ever again," Mark said in a loud voice.
The front doorbell rang across the high ceilings of the mansion.
Two uniformed police officers walked into the grand entry hall below.
Mark led them right into the dining room without any delay.
"This is the woman who harmed my child," Mark told officers.
The police officers stepped forward to put Victoria under arrest quickly.
