David held out his hand demanding Victoria's personal cell phone.
David: Give me the phone right now, Victoria.
Victoria: No! You have no right to invade my privacy!
David: I have every right when my baby's safety is involved!
Victoria backed up toward the front entrance of the home.
Victoria: If you don't trust me, then this marriage is over!
David: If you won't clear your name, then leave right now!
Victoria stopped moving and looked at David with total disbelief.
She realized that her carefully built control had completely collapsed.
Victoria: You are choosing these children over your own wife?
David: I will choose my children every single time without regret.
Victoria: You will be hearing from my divorce lawyer tomorrow morning!
David: My divorce lawyer will be waiting for his call.
Victoria grabbed her expensive designer leather handbag from the chair.
She stormed out the heavy wooden front door and slammed it shut.
The loud impact echoed through the high ceiling of the foyer.
David took a deep breath and turned back toward his children.
He walked over to Maya and pulled her into a warm hug.
He lifted tiny Leo into his arms and kissed his forehead.
David: I am so sorry I didn't see her true nature sooner.
Maya: You know the truth now, Dad. That is all that matters.
David: I promise nobody will ever threaten our home again.
Leo rested his tiny head gently against his father's shoulder.
The dark storm cloud over their household had finally cleared away.
