Four armed police officers rushed past the entry columns toward the grand staircase.
The lead officer kept his hand ready near his side equipment belt.
Officer Davis: Dallas Police, stop where you are and put hands up!
Evelyn emerged from the hallway corridor with her arms raised in defeat.
Her green dress was rumpled and her face was stained with dark mascara.
She stepped slowly toward the upper landing under the bright light.
Evelyn: This is a massive misunderstanding between family members, officer!
Officer Davis: Do not take another step toward those stairs, ma'am.
The officers ascended the wide marble steps with quick disciplined movement.
They reached the top landing and instructed Evelyn to turn around completely.
Evelyn cried out loudly as the steel handcuffs clicked around her wrists.
Evelyn: Victoria, please tell them to stop this right now!
Victoria: You made your own choice when you pushed me, Evelyn.
Evelyn: I am your sister, you cannot let them lock me away!
Victoria: You chose money over our sisterly bond a long time ago.
The officers led Evelyn down the wide stairs past the crystal chandelier.
She looked at Mark with burning anger, but he ignored her completely.
Mark stood protectively in front of Victoria as the police gathered details.
Officer Davis: Sir, we need to inspect the camera footage right away.
Mark: The control room is right through this hallway, follow me.
Mark led the officers to the home office terminal near the study.
He typed in his administrator password to display the security video feed.
The high definition camera clearly showed Evelyn shoving Victoria near the railing.
It captured the entire altercation in vivid detail from multiple clear angles.
Officer Davis: This video clip provides clear evidence for attempted harm charges.
Mark: We also have financial record files showing severe corporate embezzlement.
Officer Davis: She will face justice in court for every single crime.
Evelyn was escorted out the front doors into the waiting police car.
The red and blue lights flashed brightly against the white estate columns.
Neighbors gathered along the quiet suburban street to watch the dramatic arrest.
Victoria watched from the front window as the cruiser drove far away.
A heavy weight lifted off her shoulders despite the sadness in her heart.
