Eleanor's face turned completely pale as she heard Julian's cold warning.
She gripped the wooden stair handrail with both of her thin hands.
The bright foyer lights seemed to expose every line of panic on her face.
Julian stood tall at the bottom of the grand staircase with total calm.
Julian: I gave you three chances to tell the full truth Eleanor.
Eleanor: You are making a terrible mistake that will ruin us all!
Julian pulled out his personal phone and held up the active screen.
The timer on the phone call showed he was speaking with police dispatch.
Julian: The deputy sheriff is entering the estate gates right now.

Julian ended the call and placed his phone back inside his tuxedo pocket.

Julian walked over to the front entrance as headlight beams swept through glass.

Julian turned around quickly with his eyes flashing in sudden sharp anger.
He pointed a strict warning finger toward the upper hallway ceiling balcony.

Eleanor: She is too young to understand anything happening in this room!
Julian walked over to the baby carriage and gently lifted his quiet daughter.
He held her safely against his chest while looking up at Eleanor again.
Julian: She will never have to hear your toxic lies ever again.
Eleanor: You think you have won just because you called the law?
Julian felt a deep sense of relief wash over his tired soul now.
