Richard and Sarah walked quickly down the grand staircase into the formal living room, where two police officers and Richard's head of security were holding Clarissa near the door. Clarissa was wearing her rich designer coat, her eyes red and wild with desperate anger as she tried to pull away from the officers' grip.
Clarissa: Get your hands off me! Do you know who I am? I am the legal owner of this entire property!
Richard: Not anymore, Clarissa. Your legal team just received my emergency divorce filing and a temporary restraining order from the county court judge.
Clarissa: You cannot kick me out like a dog, Richard! I have rights in this state! I will sue you for every single penny you own!
Richard stepped forward, pulling out his smartphone and playing an audio recording that his security team had retrieved from the house surveillance cameras installed in the hallway ceiling.
Clarissa's own loud voice filled the room, clearly screaming brutal threats at little Leo and admitting her plan to push the family out. Clarissa went dead silent, her face turning pale as paper as she listened to her own wicked words being played back to her in front of the police officers.
Richard: You are charged with child endangerment, fraud, and attempted extortion. My lawyers are filing a massive lawsuit against you before the sun goes down today.
Clarissa: You are destroying my life over a foolish mistake! Please, Richard, let us talk about this privately like adults!
Maid Sarah: Hurting an innocent child is not a mistake, Clarissa. It is evil, and you are finally paying for what you did.
Clarissa: Shut your mouth, you foolish maid! You ruined everything I worked so hard to build!
Richard: Take her away immediately, officers. She is never permitted to set foot on Vance land again.
The officers placed iron handcuffs around Clarissa's wrists and led her crying and screaming out the front doors. The dark heavy doors shut tight behind her, bringing a sudden, sweet silence back to the grand home.
