Elena walked down the grand curving staircase with her head held very high.
Her silk dress rustled softly as her heels tapped on the hard marble steps.
She put on a fake dramatic frown as she approached her wealthy husband.
Elena: Mark, honey, you know how clumsy I am in the morning.
Elena: My hand slipped while I was moving the flower arrangement near the ledge.
Sarah: That is a complete lie and you know it!
Sarah: I watched you check the hallway corners before you tipped the glass over!
Elena: How dare an employee speak to me with such utter disrespect!
Mark: Silence, both of you, until I understand this mess!
Mark knelt down next to Sarah to check on his frightened little boy.
He saw the sharp crystal shards scattered all across the floor tiles.
His hands trembled slightly as he realized how close disaster had come.
He looked up at Elena with deep doubt growing inside his mind.
Mark: That vase was placed firmly in the center of the display table.
Mark: There is no way it could fall over the balcony railing by accident.
Elena: The maid must have bumped the wall while dusting down here!
Sarah: I was standing near the front door when she leaned over the rail!
Elena: She is trying to frame me so you will give her a bigger bonus!
Mark: Sarah has been loyal to this estate for years without any problems.
Elena: Are you taking the word of a servant over your own wife?
Mark: I am taking the safety of my child very seriously, Elena.
Elena: You are being completely unfair to me right now!
Mark: We are going to check the mansion security system immediately.
Elena's face suddenly turned pale when Mark mentioned the security cameras.
She took a small step back toward the grand staircase with nervous eyes.
She gripped her designer purse tightly against her waist with shaking fingers.
Sarah noticed the sudden change in Elena's posture and spoke up clearly.
Sarah: She knows the security cameras record every inch of this foyer.
Elena: Shut your mouth before I have you fired instantly!
Mark: You do not have the authority to fire anyone in my house!
Mark: Follow me to the office right now, both of you.
