Elena stood frozen in the middle of the luxury hallway, completely defeated and ruined.
Her dreams of inheriting Arthur's massive fortune were destroyed in a single afternoon.
She turned around bitterly and hurried upstairs to pack her belongings into plain suitcases.
Arthur walked over to his study room and dialed his family divorce lawyer immediately.
Arthur: Cancel her luxury credit cards and start the legal eviction process today.
Within an hour, two security officers arrived at the main gate to supervise Elena's departure.
Elena dragged two heavy suitcases down the black and white marble staircase in silence.
No one on the household staff offered to help her carry a single piece of luggage.
She walked out through the heavy grand double doors, leaving the luxury mansion behind forever.
The heavy doors shut firmly behind her with a deep final click that echoed through the hall.
Arthur walked back into the bright sunroom where Mary was feeding little Leo his snacks.
The young toddler smiled brightly and giggled as Mary made silly faces to cheer him up.
Arthur felt a warm wave of emotional relief wash over his entire heart and soul.
Arthur: Mary, I cannot thank you enough for saving my son from that terrible woman.
Mary: I only did what was right to keep this precious boy safe and happy, sir.
Arthur: You protected my family when I was too blind to see the dark truth myself.
Arthur reached into his pocket and pulled out his personal pen to write a check.
Arthur: Starting today, your monthly salary is doubled, and you are the estate manager.
Mary: Oh, Mr. Vance! That is far too generous of you to offer me!
Arthur: You earned every bit of it through your courage and unwavering loyalty to us.
Little Leo reached out his small hands toward Arthur, giggling happily in the bright sunlight.
Arthur lifted his son high into the air and hugged him tightly with pure joy.
The dark shadow that had hung over the luxury mansion was finally gone for good.
Peace and love had returned to the Vance family home, stronger and safer than ever before.
