Arthur looked up at Evelyn with absolute shock in his eyes.
Evelyn backed away slightly, her face turning pale in the afternoon daylight.
Evelyn: Do not be silly, Julian! You are confused and traumatized right now.
Julian: I am not confused! You stood behind me and pushed my chair!
Evelyn: He is oxygen deprived, Arthur! You know how unstable he gets!
Maria: I saw you standing right behind him when he fell, Mrs. Vance.
Evelyn: You were inside doing laundry, Maria! Do not accuse me of anything!
Arthur wrapped a dry pool towel tightly around Julian's shivering shoulders.
The groundskeeper stood up slowly, his large frame towering over Evelyn.
Arthur: We need to get him inside and call the doctor immediately.
Evelyn: I will handle my stepson, Arthur. Go back to your yard work.
Arthur: I am not leaving his side until his father gets home.
Evelyn folded her arms and stepped closer to Arthur with a fierce scowl.
Evelyn: My husband trusts me completely with his son and his estate.
Evelyn: If you throw wild accusations around, you will lose your job today.
Maria: My son saw it too, Mrs. Vance!
Toby hid behind his mother, nodding his head fearfully in agreement.
Evelyn: Nobody takes the word of a frightened child over mine!
Julian struggled to sit up against Arthur's leg, his voice cracking with emotion.
Julian: You wanted me gone so you could control the family trust fund!
Evelyn: That is a ridiculous lie, Julian! I have cared for you for years!
Julian: You told me this morning that my father was changing his will today!
Evelyn's eyes widened with genuine anger as she stepped toward Julian.
Evelyn: Keep your mouth shut before you make things worse for yourself!
Arthur: Do not threaten this boy in front of me, Evelyn.
Arthur reached into his pocket and pulled out his heavy master key card.
Arthur: We do not need to argue about who said what out here.
He pointed his finger toward the tall brick wall behind the swimming pool.
Mounted right under the roof edge was a brand new high-definition security camera.
Its tiny glass lens was aimed directly down at the poolside area.
A small red light on the camera body was blinking steadily in the sunlight.
Evelyn stared up at the device, her mouth dropping open in absolute terror.
Arthur: Master Vance installed those new cameras yesterday morning while you were shopping.
