Uncovering The Hidden Truth

The Stepmother Ruined My Daughter Party Until My Husband Returned

Victoria stood frozen on the hard marble floor for several long seconds.

Her face had turned completely pale under the bright overhead lights.

She realized Mark was serious about ending their entire relationship right now.

She stomped her high heels hard against the floor in anger.

Victoria: You are making the biggest mistake of your entire life!

Mark: The mistake was trusting you with my sweet family.

Victoria spun around on her heel and marched toward the wide stairs.

She slammed her bedroom door loudly on the second floor above.

Mark walked over to the hallway sofa and sat down softly.

He set little Lily down onto the soft fabric next to him.

He grabbed a clean cloth napkin from the small side table.

He gently wiped the pink frosting off her small sweet cheeks.

Mark: You are safe now, my sweet little princess girl.

Lily: Is she going to come back down and yell again?

Mark: No, she will never yell at you ever again here.

Lily smiled softly and wrapped her small arms around his arm.

The housekeeper, Sarah, hurried into the foyer from the kitchen area.

Her hands shook slightly as she looked at the mess on the floor.

She had heard the shouting from the back of the large house.

Sarah: Sir, I saw what happened on the security camera feed.

Mark: Did you record everything that happened in this hall?

Sarah: Yes, the hall camera caught every single word and movement.

Sarah pulled a small memory card out from her apron pocket.

She had saved the video footage the moment the incident happened.

She passed the small square card into Mark open right hand.

Mark looked down at the card with a cold determined expression.

This evidence would protect his family if Victoria tried to sue.

Mark: Thank you, Sarah, you did the right thing today.

Sarah: I will clean up this cake and prepare fresh food.

Mark: Take your time, Sarah, we are in no hurry now.

Heavy footsteps sounded on the wooden stairs from the upper floor.

Victoria walked down carrying two large leather suitcases in her hands.

She held her chin up high, trying to appear completely unfazed.
