The Stepmother Poured Ice On My Baby Before Finding Out Her Secret

The heavy glass pitcher trembled in Victoria’s manicured hands, ice cubes clinking like knives against the rim.

Seven-month-old Noah lay kicking on the pristine white sofa, his soft cotton onesie already damp from cold mist.

Victoria leaned over the cushion, tilting the pitcher until freezing water cascaded directly over his tiny chest.

Victoria: Cry all you want! You don't belong in this mansion!

Noah choked on a sharp gasp, his skin instantly mottling into a bruised, terrifying shade of purple.

Victoria: You think your mother left you a fortune? You won't live to spend a single dime of it.

From the archway, Rosa sprinted across the polished marble floor in her charcoal grey uniform, her eyes wide with fury.

Rosa: Don't you dare touch this innocent child!

Rosa drove her work boot straight into Victoria’s ribs, knocking the socialite flat against the stone tiles.

The heavy crystal pitcher shattered against the marble, sending shards and freezing water splashing everywhere.

Rosa scooped the shivering, gasping infant into her arms, tears of sheer panic streaming down her face.

Rosa: I’ve got you, baby. Hold on to me. Please, God, just breathe.

The mahogany double entrance doors banged open as Ethan Sterling marched into the vaulted hall in his dark blue suit.

Ethan: What is happening in my house?!

Rosa: Sir, she poured freezing ice over your baby to freeze him!

Victoria: Ethan, she's lying, she attacked me!

Ethan took four furious strides, his open hand cracking across Victoria’s cheek with a thunderous slap that dropped her instantly.

Ethan: You touched my baby!

Victoria: Ethan! She made it up! Look at my bruised face!

Ethan pointed a trembling, furious finger down at her crumpled green satin gown.

Ethan: You are leaving this house in chains forever!

Victoria clutched her bleeding jaw on the floor, totally unaware that the locked legal folder in Ethan’s briefcase held a secret that would destroy her by nightfall.
