The heavy iron gates outside clicked shut with a thud.
Two large security guards walked into the bright foyer.
Victoria backed away toward the grand white stairs slowly.
Victoria: You cannot keep me locked inside this house!
David: You are not leaving until the police get here.
David handed baby Ethan carefully over to brave Clara.
Clara wrapped the warm baby in a soft grey blanket.
Clara: I will keep him safe in the nursery sir.
David: Thank you Clara for your honest brave heart.
David turned his full attention back toward his wife.
He rewound the security video footage on his phone screen.
He played the clip again on the large living room television.
The high resolution video played on the sixty inch screen.
It clearly showed Victoria looking right at the camera lens.
She checked to see if anyone was watching the foyer.
Then she intentionally opened her fingers near the staircase.
She wanted the baby to fall down the steep steps.
She planned to blame the tragic event on maid Clara.
That way she could get the full million dollar inheritance.
David: You risked my son life for money Victoria!
Victoria: I never wanted to be a stepmother anyway!
Victoria: You spend all your time and money on him!
David: He is my son and my entire whole world!
Victoria stomped her gold heel against the hard floor.
Victoria: I deserve luxury and all of your money!
David: You will not get a single penny from me.
David picked up his house phone to call his attorney.
David: I am filing for a immediate emergency divorce.
David: You will also face criminal child endangerment charges.
Victoria screamed in anger and tried to rush the door.
The two tall security guards blocked her escape path.
Guard: Stay right where you are ma'am.
Victoria: Let go of my expensive gold dress right now!
Clara watched from the top landing with baby Ethan.
She felt relief knowing the truth was finally revealed.
The innocent child was now completely safe from harm.
