Consequences And New Beginnings

The Step Mother Destroyed Her Flower Before The Grandfather Intervened

Victoria grabbed her black luxury purse and stormed toward the main exit.

She did not even look back at Mark as she walked away.

Mark tried to run after her through the heavy glass doors.

Mark: Victoria, please wait for me in the lobby!

Victoria: Do not touch me, you lost all your family money!

Victoria pushed his hand away and got into a waiting yellow taxi cab.

She drove away into the bright lights of the city night sky.

Mark stood on the cold sidewalk outside the grand hotel lobby alone.

He realized that Victoria only cared about his money and power status.

He slowly walked back inside the warm ballroom with his head down low.

He walked over to the leather sofa where his father sat with Lily.

Mark: Dad, I made a huge mistake with Victoria and everything else.

Grandfather Arthur: You traded your daughter's happiness for a fake marriage, Mark.

Mark: I am so sorry, Lily, please forgive your foolish father.

Mark dropped to his knees on the wooden floor before his daughter.

Lily looked at her father with soft and forgiving brown eyes.

Lily: I love you Daddy, but you hurt my feelings tonight.

Mark: I will spend the rest of my life making it up to you.

Arthur looked down at his son with a stern yet caring expression.

Grandfather Arthur: You must earn back your trust step by step, my son.

Grandfather Arthur: You will start at the bottom of the company again tomorrow.

Mark nodded his head slowly in full agreement with his father's terms.

He was ready to change his life and become a better dad.

Arthur reached into his suit jacket and pulled out a fresh flower.

It was a beautiful pink rose he had saved from the table display.

He gently handed the fresh bloom to little smiling Lily.

Grandfather Arthur: This flower will never be broken, just like our love.

Lily hugged the pink flower tightly against her chest and smiled warmly.

The family had survived a terrible test and come out much stronger.
