Two local police officers entered the grand front doors of the mansion foyer.
Mr. Davis had called them silently from below as soon as the fight started.
The officers walked quickly up the marble staircase toward the upper balcony level.
Victoria tried to push past Mark, but the officers stepped firmly in front.
They asked Victoria to hand over the forged legal paper for official evidence.
She gritted her teeth in deep anger but gave the paper to the officer.
The officer explained that she needed to come down to the local police station.
She was being officially questioned regarding attempted fraud and severe public disturbance charges.
Victoria walked down the grand marble stairs escorted closely by both uniformed officers.
The guests made way for them, keeping a complete cold silence as she left.
She looked back one last time, her emerald green dress trailing behind her.
No one stepped forward to help her or offer any words of comfort.
Mark held Sarah close to his side as the front doors shut tight.
A heavy feeling of peace and relief instantly settled over the entire house.
The dark shadow that Victoria had brought for years was finally gone forever.
Mark turned to face his wife and looked down at his son.
The baby slept peacefully in his mint green blanket, completely safe from harm.
Mark: I am so sorry you had to witness that terrible scene, Sarah.
Sarah: You protected our home and our baby's future today, my love.
Mark: This mansion will finally be a place of love and real joy.
Sarah: Let us go back down and enjoy our special day together.
Mark nodded with a genuine smile as they walked down the staircase together.
The guests cheered warmly as the family returned to the white marble foyer.
The music started playing softly once again, filling the high ceilings with comfort.
Mark knew that their family business and inheritance were completely secure forever now.
They had faced down the ultimate deceit and came out stronger than ever before.
