Within ten short minutes, the flashing red and blue lights of three police cruisers filled the driveway.
Two stern police officers walked through the patio doors and took Victoria's full statement near the pool.
They examined the security camera footage that recorded the entire poolside area from the roof line.
The high-definition video clearly showed Victoria yelling at Lily and shoving her into the deep end.
It also showed her standing still for over thirty seconds without offering any assistance whatsoever.
Officer Smith: Victoria Davis, you are under arrest for child endangerment and criminal reckless assault.
Victoria: This is a massive mistake! My divorce lawyer will have you fired for this!
The officers placed stainless steel handcuffs around Victoria's wrists behind her back with a loud snap.
They led her away down the stone driveway while the neighbors watched from across the street.
Mark wrapped a large dry cotton towel around Lily's shivering shoulders as she sat on the patio couch.
He sat down beside her and held her hand with deep warmth and genuine emotional affection.
Mark: I am so sorry I did not see her true evil nature sooner, my dear girl.
Lily: You saved me, Daddy, that is all that matters to me now.
Mark: I promise you that no one will ever put you in danger inside this home again.
In the weeks that followed, Mark filed for an immediate annulment of his marriage to Victoria.
The criminal court judge sentenced Victoria to three years in state prison for her dangerous actions.
Mark took control of his late wife's Swiss trust fund and placed it into a secure, locked legal bank account.
He hired a full-time professional swimming coach to teach Lily how to swim with total confidence.
Every afternoon after school, Mark sat near the clean blue pool watching Lily swim happily in the water.
The mansion felt warm, peaceful, and truly safe once again without any dangerous secrets hiding inside.
Lily held her mother's wooden keepsake box close to her heart, knowing her father would always protect her.
Justice had finally prevailed, restoring love and true security to the family they both cherished.
