Victoria backed away in sheer panic, bumping straight into a towering wire rack filled with multi-tiered cakes.
The rack shook violently, sending several tall pink frosted wedding cakes tumbling crashing to the floor.
Frosting splashed everywhere across the clean stainless steel counters as metal pans clattered around them loudly.
Nobody in the kitchen dared to move a single inch as Raffaello stared at Victoria sternly.
Raffaello: Answer me!
Raffaello: Did you threaten my family while I was searching for them night and day?
Victoria: I am so sorry, sir, I really did not know who she was!
Victoria: She never said a word about being married to anyone important!
Elena stepped forward gently and placed her soft hand onto Raffaello's tense black jacket sleeve.
Elena: Raffaello, stop.
Elena: She did not know, and I chose to keep my identity completely hidden from everyone.
Raffaello took a deep breath, trying hard to control the fiery anger surging through his chest.
He looked at his wife's tired eyes and felt his heart break into a thousand tiny pieces.
Raffaello: How long has this woman been barking orders at you like this?
Elena: Since the day I started working shift after shift here.
Maya: She made mommy cry yesterday too, daddy!
Raffaello's eyes narrowed dangerously as he looked back at Victoria and the shaking general manager.
Raffaello: Julian, get up off the floor right now.
Julian scrambled back up to his feet, wiping cold sweat off his trembling face furiously.
Julian: Yes, Mr. Raffaello, anything you command sir!
Raffaello: You are fired from this venue effective immediately for complete negligence.
Julian: Sir, please give me one more chance, I have a family to feed!
Raffaello: You allowed guests and managers to abuse workers under your roof without checking.
Raffaello: You are completely done in this city, Julian.
Julian lowered his head in utter defeat and walked quickly out the back exit door.
Now Raffaello turned his sharp, icy focus back onto Victoria, who was practically sobbing in fear.
Victoria: Please, sir, I have worked here for five years without a single complaint!
Raffaello: That ends tonight.
