The library doors burst open as real security guards rushed into the room.
They moved with lightning speed and secured the space in two seconds.
Guard: Put your hands on your heads and get down on the floor!
Richard dropped the black folder and put his hands up in defeat.
The lawyer was already crying on the floor near the overturned table.
Arthur pulled Maya into a tight, warm hug against his chest.
Arthur: We are safe now, my sweet brave girl, it is over!
Maya: I knew the red button would bring the good guards here!
The lead guard walked over to Arthur and saluted him respectfully today.
Guard: We saw the emergency sign from the roof monitors, sir!
Arthur: Take these two trespassers away and call the local police immediately!
Richard glared at Maya with pure bitter hatred as he was cuffed.
Richard: You little brat stole everything that should have been mine today!
Maya: Uncle Arthur belongs here because he is kind to everyone always!
The guards led Richard and his lawyer out into the grand hallway.
The library grew quiet once again as the flashing red lights stopped.
Arthur sat down in his favorite soft leather chair with a smile.
He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small gold key.
Arthur: You saved my life and saved this entire family estate today.
Maya: What does that little key open, Uncle Arthur?
Arthur: It opens the true will that names you as my heir.
Maya looked at the key with wide, curious eyes full of wonder.
She was just happy that her favorite uncle was alive and safe.
