Little Lily woke up from her long nap and walked into the grand hallway.
She carried her small wooden toy carriage near the upper balcony railing area.
The sunlight poured through the high arch windows onto the polished marble below.
Victoria stood at the edge of the balcony near the heavy brass railing.
Victoria: Look down there at the foyer, Lily, your father is home early.
Lily ran happily toward the open edge to look down for her dad.
Lily: Daddy is home right now?
Victoria reached out her hand and pushed the heavy wooden toy structure down.
The sudden shove startled little Lily near the dangerous ledge above the floor.
Lily lost her footing on the slick marble floor and fell forward fast.
Victoria did not reach out to grab the child's slipping hand at all.
She stepped back with a cold face as the child tipped over the ledge.
Sarah turned the corner just in time to see the dangerous terrible moment.
She dropped her cleaning cloths and sprinted across the polished white floor.
Sarah: Lily, hold on to me!
Sarah threw her body forward across the slippery floor near the edge.
Her hands caught the little girl's arm just before she tumbled down.
She pulled Lily back onto the safe flat floor into a tight embrace.
Lily began to cry loudly out of extreme fear and terrible shock.
Sarah: I have got you, sweetie, you are safe now!
Victoria gasped sharply when she saw Sarah holding the safe little child.
Her cruel plot had failed because of the quick brave maid's actions.
The heavy front doors of the mansion suddenly swung open down below.
Marcus stepped into the bright foyer holding his black leather business briefcase.
