Victoria shouted loud harsh words into the empty air of the foyer.
"This child is ruined!" Victoria screamed with pure hatred in her eyes.
Elena ran frantically across the shiny marble floor toward the woman.
Her soft shoes made fast clicking sounds on the hard cold stone.
She reached out her hands to save the small crying baby boy.
"Give him back to me!" Elena shouted with tears streaming down.
Victoria pulled the crying infant back with a harsh sudden motion.
"Get away from me, you low house maid!" Victoria barked back angry.
Elena refused to back down from the mean woman in burgundy.
She dropped down to her knees right in front of Victoria.
She wrapped her arms around the baby to protect his delicate head.
"You're safe with me," Elena whispered softly to the sweet baby.
Victoria leaned forward aggressively to push Elena away from the baby.
"Who do you think you are?!" Victoria towered over the kneeling maid.
Elena held little Leo firmly against her warm blue maid uniform.
She could feel the baby shaking with fear in her tight embrace.
"I will not let you harm this innocent boy!" Elena stated loudly.
Victoria raised her hand in absolute anger and stepped closer to Elena.
The tension inside the large empty room was extremely thick and heavy.
Elena pulled the baby tighter against her chest to shield his body.
She braced herself for the mean woman's harsh sudden strike.
She closed her eyes tightly and prayed for help to arrive fast.
Suddenly, the heavy front doors swung open with a loud thud.
Bright natural light poured into the grand room from the outside driveway.
A tall man stood in the bright sunlight on the door frame.
It was Arthur, returning home earlier than anyone had expected today.
He wore a dark green suit and carried his thin smart phone.
His face looked icy cold as he stepped into the big room.
Victoria froze in place and pulled her hands back very quickly.
She tried to change her mean face into a sweet soft smile.
"Arthur, darling, you came back so soon!" Victoria said with panic.
Elena stayed on her knees and sobbed softly into the floor.
Arthur walked slowly across the room with long confident steps today.
His heavy shoes echoed loudly against the expensive gray marble floor.
He did not look at Victoria's fake sweet smiling face at all.
He kept his eyes glued directly on his crying little baby boy.
The moment of truth had finally arrived for everyone in the house.
