David turned his head sharply toward his young daughter standing in the doorway.
David: Maya, honey, please step back away from all this broken glass.
Maya: I will not step back until you look at this video, Dad.
Victoria's face turned pale instantly as she stared at the glowing phone screen.
Victoria: Maya, sweetie, go back to your room and finish your online schoolwork.
Maya: I am not going anywhere until my father sees the truth about you.
Maya walked carefully around the broken glass shards and approached her father directly.
She tapped the screen twice to play the stored video file from the home cloud server.
Maya: I set up a camera in the hall last week because things kept disappearing.
David looked closely at the small screen while holding his breath in total silence.
The high-definition video clearly showed Victoria walking up to the crystal vase alone.
It showed her looking around carefully to make sure nobody was watching her movement.
Then it clearly captured her hand pushing the heavy vase right off the marble edge.
The video recorded Elena running desperately across the hall to try and catch it.
David's hands began to shake with intense rage as the recording finished playing.
David: Victoria, what is the meaning of this recording on my daughter's phone?
Victoria backed away toward the wall, her voice trembling with sudden fear.
Victoria: David, please let me explain before you jump to any false conclusions!
David: The video shows you deliberately pushing the heirloom off the pedestal!
Victoria: I was only trying to test her attention to her daily household duties!
David: You intentionally destroyed my mother's legacy just to frame an innocent worker!
Elena stood up slowly from the floor, wiping the tears from her red eyes.
Elena: I have always treated you with respect, Mrs. Sterling, every single day.
Victoria: Shut up, you are nothing but a common maid in this house!
David: Do not speak to her like that in my presence ever again!
David pointed his finger firmly toward the grand entrance of the marble foyer.
David: You lied to me, you framed Elena, and you destroyed my family history!
Victoria: You cannot throw me out over a simple glass vase, David!
David: This is not about glass, this is about your wicked deceitful nature!
Maya hugged Elena tightly around the waist while looking at her father proudly.
Maya: I knew Elena was innocent because she always takes care of us.
David turned to Elena with deep shame and remorse visible in his eyes.
David: Elena, I am deeply sorry for shouting at you moments ago.
Elena: I understand why you were upset, Mr. Sterling, given what you saw.
David: My anger was entirely misplaced because I trusted the wrong person today.
Victoria folded her arms tightly, trying to regain her defensive posture.
