Mr. Sterling walked inside carrying his leather briefcase after a long drive.
He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw the horrifying scene before him.
His young daughter was crying on the floor in the maid's arms.
Father: What on earth is going on in my home?
Sarah: Sir, thank God you came back early today!
Father: Is Lily hurt? What happened to my little girl?
Sarah slowly stood up while helping Lily onto her small feet.
She pointed her finger straight up toward the top landing balcony railing.
Sarah: Sir, she shoved your daughter right over that balcony!
Victoria: That is an absolute lie! She slipped on her own!
Father: Shut your mouth, Victoria, and come down here right now!
Victoria slowly walked down the white grand staircase with shaking knees.
Her face had turned completely pale under the bright natural daylight.
Mr. Sterling set his briefcase on the table and stepped toward her.
His face showed deep betrayal and explosive anger at his new wife.
Father: How could you ever lay a hand on my innocent child?
Victoria: You have to listen to me! The maid is lying!
Lily: She is not lying, Daddy! Victoria shoved me hard!
Mr. Sterling looked into his daughter's tearful eyes and knew the absolute truth.
He turned back to Victoria with a cold and fierce look in his eyes.
Father: You are a monster to attack a defenseless little girl!
Victoria: I made a mistake, please forgive me just this once!
Father: There is no forgiveness for putting my daughter in severe danger!
He pointed sternly toward the large front doors near the American flag display.
Father: You are finished in this house! Get out right now!
Victoria: You cannot throw me out! I am your legal wife!
Father: We will see what my lawyers have to say about that!
Victoria backed against the wall while holding her trembling face in fear.
She realized her plan to claim the family inheritance was completely ruined.
Mr. Sterling turned his attention back to Sarah and his crying child.
He knelt down beside Lily and wrapped his arms around her tightly.
Father: I am so sorry I was not here to protect you.
Lily: Sarah saved me, Daddy! She caught me in her arms!
Father: Sarah, you saved my daughter's life today in this mansion.
Sarah: I only did what any decent person would do, sir.
Victoria glared at Sarah with deep hatred as she backed away slowly.
She knew she had lost everything she had worked so hard to gain.
She hurried upstairs to pack her bags before the police were called.
