Within ten minutes, police sirens echoed loudly down the long gated driveway.
Two officers entered the grand foyer and reviewed the clear video clip on the TV screen.
They placed metal handcuffs on Victoria's wrists while reading her rights out loud.
Victoria: Richard, please! Do not let them take me away in front of the neighbors!
Richard: You did this to yourself, Victoria. You are never coming back here.
The officers led the crying woman out the front doors and into the waiting cruiser.
Richard walked over to Clara and looked down at his daughter with soft eyes.
Richard: Clara, I am so deeply sorry for ever doubting your honest word today.
Clara: You were shocked, Mr. Sterling. I am just glad Emma is completely safe.
Richard reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out his personal checkbook.
Richard: You risked your life and saved my child from a terrible tragedy today.
Richard: I am giving you a fifty thousand dollar bonus right now as true thanks.
Clara's eyes went wide as she looked at the generous check in his hands.
