David looked down at the bright red liquid on the floor.
His eyes widened in utter disbelief at the terrible sight.
The wine was not soaking harmlessly into the cold stone.
Instead, the spilled liquid was sizzling and foaming aggressively.
Thick white smoke began rising slowly into the air.
The expensive light marble floor was turning dark and pitted.
A strong chemical odor filled the entire dining room space.
David backed away from the table with a sharp gasp.
David: What on earth is in that bottle of wine?
Victoria's face turned completely pale under the room lights.
She backed away toward the grand kitchen door slowly.
Victoria: I do not know what you are talking about.
Lily wrapped her arms around her father's leg tightly.

David turned his head slowly to look back at Victoria.

David: Is this true, Victoria? Answer me right now!

David stood up to his full height with terrifying authority.
David: The wine on the floor is eating through solid marble!
Victoria pointed an accusing finger at the frightened young girl.

Lily: She said you would go to sleep forever, Daddy!
