David pressed the power button and selected the security feed application on the screen menu.
Victoria stood up quickly from the couch, her face turning completely pale in the bright light.
Victoria: What are you doing with that?
David: Just checking the hallway camera video.
Victoria: There is no need to watch!
David: I want to see it myself.
The large television screen flickered to life, showing the clear wide video of the staircase landing.
The timestamp at the bottom showed the exact time from just thirty minutes earlier that morning.
David watched as Clara turned her back to fetch the baby bottle from the kitchen counter.
Then the video clearly showed Victoria walking quietly up behind the soft blue baby stroller.
Victoria reached out her hand and deliberately unlocked the safety wheel brakes with her foot.
She gave the stroller a firm hidden push directly toward the steep edge of the marble steps.
David let out a sharp gasp of pure horror as he watched the scene unfold on the screen.
The video showed Clara turning instantly and throwing her whole body down the stairs to save the baby.
Clara had taken the painful impact on her own knees to protect tiny Emma from any injury.
David turned around slowly to face Victoria, his hands shaking with intense anger and total shock.
David: You pushed my daughter down!
Victoria: It was an total accident David!
David: You lied right to my face!
Victoria: I just wanted her gone!
David: Get out of my home now!
Victoria backed away toward the hallway as David raised his phone to call the local police department.
She realized her plan to isolate David and take over his family wealth was completely ruined forever.
