Six months passed quickly as the high-profile court case pulled all of Victoria's dark secrets out into the public light.
The video footage from the foyer skylight camera was presented to the jury, leaving no room for any doubt.
Victoria's defense completely collapsed when her secret offshore bank accounts were revealed during the financial audit.
The judge sentenced Victoria to seven years in state prison without the possibility of early parole release.
Her greedy attempt to steal Maya's trust fund money resulted in her losing everything she had ever cared about.
Back at the Sterling mansion, the heavy atmosphere of fear and tension had completely vanished from the bright rooms.
The sunlight filtered brightly through the clean glass skylight, filling the white marble foyer with warmth and peace.
Maya ran across the floor, laughing joyfully as she chased a tiny yellow puppy that David had recently adopted.
Elena walked beside them, holding a tray of freshly baked lemon cookies and small glasses of cold fruit juice.
David walked down the stairs, looking happier and more relaxed than he had in several long, dark years.
David: Elena, the board of directors officially approved our new children's charity foundation this morning.
Elena: That is wonderful news, Mr. Sterling! Maya will be so proud of you.
David: We are naming the foundation after Maya's mother, and we want you to serve on the board.
Elena placed the tray down on the coffee table, her eyes widening in genuine shock and deep humble gratitude.
Elena: Me? On the board of directors? I am just a maid, Mr. Sterling.
David: You are not just a maid, Elena. You are the brave hero who saved my family's future.
Maya: You are my best friend, Elena! Please say you will do it!
Elena smiled brightly, wiping away a single warm tear of happiness from her cheek as she hugged little Maya.
Elena: I would be truly honored to help, sweetie. Always.
The home was finally filled with genuine love, truth, and safety, leaving the dark painful past behind forever.
