Arthur: "You planted the heirloom necklace in Elena's purse, Victoria."
Arthur turned away from the wall monitor, his glare fixed on his wife with cold disgust and absolute disdain[cite: 1]. Victoria's face paled completely, all the fierce rage instantly draining out of her features as a sharp gasp of sheer horror escaped her throat[cite: 1]. Her mouth fell agape, her eyes wide in complete despair as her entire scheme collapsed around her in an instant[cite: 1].
Victoria: "Arthur... Arthur, please... let me explain!"
Arthur: "Explain what? Explain why you tried to frame an innocent girl for felony grand larceny?"
Elena: "Why would you do that to me, Mrs. Vance? What did I ever do to you?"
Victoria: "Shut up! Just shut your mouth!"
Arthur: "Do not raise your voice at her! You are the one who needs to start answering questions!"
Victoria: "It wasn't what it looks like! I was desperate!"
Arthur: "Desperate for what? You have a full allowance, access to our joint estate accounts, and unlimited credit cards!"
Victoria: "The insurance payout, Arthur! The policy on that necklace is worth two million dollars!"
Arthur stared at her, his expression turning from cold disgust to pure disbelief.
Arthur: "The insurance policy?"
Victoria: "My personal business venture... the boutique investment in Dallas failed! I lost over eight hundred thousand dollars of my own money, and the creditors were threatening to go public!"
Arthur: "So you thought you would claim the necklace was stolen by our maid, collect the two million dollar insurance settlement, and pay off your secret debts?"
Victoria: "I didn't think she would actually go to prison! I was going to drop the charges after the insurance company approved the claim payout! I swear it!"
Elena: "You were going to let me be arrested! You were going to destroy my entire life for a claim check!"
Victoria: "Arthur, please... we can fix this! We can just tell the insurance company it was a misunderstanding! Nobody has to know!"
Arthur: "Oh, people are going to know, Victoria."
Arthur reached into his suit jacket pocket, pulling out his personal cell phone and unlocking the screen with a swipe.
Victoria: "Who are you calling? Arthur, put the phone down!"
Arthur: "I'm calling our corporate legal team, the police department, and our estate lawyer."
Victoria: "You're calling the police on your own wife?!"
Arthur: "I'm calling the police to report a fraudulent insurance scheme and false criminal accusation. I won't have a criminal living under my roof."
