Elena stood firmly between Victoria and the open space below the balcony.
She reached out calmly to take the stolen documents away from Victoria's grip.
Victoria: Get your hands off me right now, you simple maid!
Victoria pulled back aggressively and nearly lost her balance near the railing.
The heavy legal folder slipped out of her fingers and fluttered down.
It fell through the open air and landed across the lower foyer floor.
Important white pages scattered across the bright white marble below.
Victoria let out a furious scream and pointed her finger at Elena.
Victoria: You just ruined everything, you foolish girl!
At that exact moment, the heavy front double doors pushed open below.
David Sterling walked inside, wearing his tailored grey business suit.
He carried a dark leather briefcase and looked exhausted from his long day.
He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw papers lying everywhere.
David looked up at the balcony with a confused and angry expression.
David: What on earth is happening in my home right now?
Elena turned and hurried down the grand curved staircase toward David.
She gathered the scattered trust pages quickly from the marble floor.
Elena: Mr. Sterling, I caught her taking these out of your safe!
David took the official papers from Elena's hands and looked at them.
He recognized his late wife's signature and the official trust seal immediately.
Victoria rushed down the stairs, trying desperately to fix her beige gown.
Her face was red with panic as she put on a fake smile.
Victoria: David, darling, please do not listen to a word she says!
Victoria: It was an accident, I just lost my grip on those papers!
David: Why were these documents outside my safe in the first place?
David's voice boomed through the quiet house like thunder.
Victoria reached out to touch his arm, but David pulled away sharply.
David: Speak the truth right now, Victoria, before I lose my patience!
