The quiet maid who cleaned their floors was actually Adrian's lost sister.
Adrian took the old photograph from the lawyer's trembling hands.
It showed a young mother holding a baby girl with a small mark.
The baby had a tiny star-shaped birthmark on her right wrist.
Adrian looked over at Clara's right wrist as she held the ice pack.
The same star-shaped mark was clearly visible near her burned skin.
Adrian: Clara... you are my sister?
Clara: I never knew who my real parents were, Mr. Adrian.
Clara: I was raised in an orphanage on the south side of town.
Eleanor: I hired her six months ago after seeing that birthmark, son.
Eleanor: I wanted to know her heart before telling the world truth.
Victoria stood frozen in place as her face turned completely pale.
Her grand scheme to marry into total wealth was falling apart instantly.
Victoria: This is a scam! She is just a dirty housemaid!
Adrian: Do not ever speak to my sister like that again!
Victoria: You are letting a servant steal our future, Adrian!
Adrian: She just took hot soup for our mother while you threw it!
Victoria realized she had said too much in front of the lawyer.
She stepped back toward the door, trying to regain her composure.
Victoria: I am leaving, but my lawyers will call you tomorrow!
Mr. Vance: You have no legal claim here, Miss Victoria.
Mr. Vance: The prenup you signed explicitly excludes all family inheritance funds.
Victoria gasped as she remembered the small clause she had overlooked.
She turned around and glared bitterly at Clara one last time.
Victoria: You will regret taking what is rightfully mine!
Adrian: Security is waiting in the lobby to walk you out.
Adrian pulled out his smartphone and dialed the main building desk.
Adrian: Escort Victoria out of the building and keep her away.
Victoria stormed out of the penthouse, slamming the door hard behind her.
The loud echo faded away, leaving a calm silence in the bright room.
Adrian walked over to Clara and took her cold hand gently.
Tears began to well up in his eyes as he looked at her.
