An Accusation in the Sun

The Maid Saved His Son But Got Framed Instead

The loud screaming filled the quiet afternoon air like a sharp alarm across the entire estate.

David threw open the dark glass patio doors and rushed outside onto the sunlit deck fast.

His face showed pure panic as he saw his wet baby crying on the ground nearby.

Victoria rushed toward David, pointing her shaking golden-ringed finger directly at Elena with wild eyes.

Victoria: She tried to harm our baby by pushing his stroller into the pool!

Elena: That is completely untrue, Mr. Vance, I jumped in to save him!

Victoria: I saw her with my own eyes, she deliberately knocked the carriage over!

David: Is this how you treat my helpless son after everything I gave you?

Elena stood up slowly, her hands trembling as water dripped continuously from her heavy clothes.

Elena: The stroller rolled because of the wind, and Mrs. Victoria stood watching!

Victoria: She is lying to cover up her terrible negligence, David, fire her now!

David looked down at his crying son and felt his heart fill with overwhelming burning anger.

He stepped right into Elena's face, his eyes flashing with fury and deep emotional betrayal.

David: Pack your personal belongings and leave my property before I have you arrested!

Elena: Please believe me, I love Toby and would sacrifice my life for him!

David: You are fired, and you will never work in this town ever again!

Victoria wrapped her thin arms around David's shoulders, pretending to cry soft fake tears loudly.

Victoria: We were so lucky I was here to shout for help in time!

Elena looked at the sweet baby boy, who was now resting safely against David's chest.

She felt her heart shatter into a thousand broken pieces at the harsh unfair words spoken.

Nobody in the grand house was willing to stand up and defend the honest maid now.

Elena walked back to her small servant room with head bowed down low in sadness.

She packed her tiny cloth suitcase with her few humble dresses and old family photographs.

As she walked down the long paved driveway, the heavy iron gates slammed shut forever.

She sat down on the stone bus stop bench outside the perimeter fence and cried silently.

The cold afternoon breeze chilled her wet uniform, but her heart burned with deep pain.

She knew in her soul that she had done the right thing saving that child.

Yet she was thrown away like trash simply because she lacked money and high social standing.

Elena squeezed her wet hands together and made a silent quiet vow to her heart.

She would clear her good name no matter how long or hard the journey would be.
