Confrontation At The Table

The Maid Saved His Life Before It Was Too Late

David stepped back from Victoria as if her very presence was now dangerous.

His hands shook with anger while he looked into her wide, fearful eyes.

David: You tried to poison me inside my own family house!

Victoria: David, please listen to me, it is not what it looks like!

David: I gave you everything you ever asked for since we met!

Victoria: I was confused and someone forced me to do this to you!

David: Do not lie to my face after I saw the video proof!

David slammed his heavy fist down onto the oak table with tremendous force.

The remaining plates and silver cups rattled loudly against the marble surface.

Victoria backed away until her heels hit the edge of the tall wall.

She dropped her fake gentle tone and looked at David with bitter hatred.

Victoria: You were never going to give me full control of your estate!

David: Is that what this was all about, my money and house?

Victoria: I deserved half of your wealth after spending two years here!

Officer Vance: Victoria Sterling, you are under arrest for attempted murder today.

Officer Vance stepped forward and grabbed Victoria's wrist with a strong grip.

He pulled her hands behind her back while metal handcuffs clicked loudly shut.

Victoria tried to pull away from the officers with loud and angry screams.

Victoria: Let go of my arms right now, you have no right!

Officer Vance: You have the right to remain silent, ma'am.

The officers dragged Victoria out of the dining room toward the front door.

Her loud screams echoed down the long hallway until the doors closed shut.

David sank back down into his wooden chair and buried his face inside his hands.

He was shaking from the shock of losing the woman he loved so fast.

The entire house was quiet once again except for the sound of his breathing.

Elena walked over quietly and stood next to his chair with deep concern.

She picked up a clean napkin and carefully wiped the spilled juice away.

Elena: Are you alright, Mr. Vance?

David: I do not know if I will ever be alright after today.

David looked up at the young maid who had stood her ground against danger.

He realized that while his fiancée betrayed him, his worker saved his life.

The true heart of a person is shown through actions, not through fake words.

He took a deep breath and prepared to fix the mess inside his home.
