The next morning started like any other busy day in the house.
Julian kissed his baby son on the head before leaving for court.
Julian: Be a good boy for your mother and Clara today.
Victoria: We will be perfect angels, sweetheart!
As soon as Julian's car left the driveway, Victoria turned around angry.
She grabbed baby Leo by his stroller frame and pulled him roughly.
The poor baby began to cry out loud from the sudden scare.
Leo: Mom! Mom! No!
Victoria: Stop that annoying crying right now!
Clara rushed down the long marble hallway as fast as possible.
Her apron fluttered as her shoes squeaked on the bright floor.
Clara: Please stop, Mrs. Sterling! You are scaring him!
Victoria: Mind your own business and go clean the kitchen!
Clara reached into her apron pocket and tapped her hidden phone.
She had turned on the video camera moments before running out.
The small lens pointed right at Victoria's angry, harsh face.
Clara: Give the baby to me right now!
Clara stepped forward and took little Leo into her gentle arms.
She cradled his small head against her dark uniform shoulder.
Leo: Clara... safe...
Victoria: You dare defy me in my own house?
Victoria raised her hand and pointed her finger close to Clara.
Victoria: You are fired as of this very second!
Clara: You cannot fire me for protecting an innocent baby!
Victoria: I can do whatever I want in this mansion!
Victoria reached over and tried to snatch Clara's phone away.
Clara turned her body around to protect both the baby and proof.
Clara: Back off, Victoria!
Victoria: Give me that phone or I will call the police on you!
Clara: Go ahead and call them, because I am not leaving Leo!
Victoria glared with cold hatred in her blue eyes.
She did not realize the phone screen was actively recording every word.
The digital file was saving straight to a secure cloud server.
Clara held the crying child tight and backed toward the front entry.
